What a marvelous article and so laden with one truth after the other.
I am an 84 year old prodigal son, who for some 75 years of my life,
JESUS was merely a part of my life, but since the passing of my Sweetheart of 63 years, last October 11, 2008

JESUS has become ALL of my life.
I had no idea of what I had been missing ALL of those wasted years.
But I do NOW!

I fully agree that in this life time we will NEVER get so Spiritually mature that we can ever take the next step with out NOW FAITH.
Yesterday's FAITH will never be enough to take this next step.

And recently while going through a rather difficult experience GOD showed me something else that I had never seen and it is proving to me to be so very, very precious.

HE showed me that HE looks on every discomforting, painful, irritable thing that comes on me, from where ever, from whomever, for whatever
reason, HE sees and seizes upon it as another OPPORTUNITY to do some MUCH needed PRUNING in my life and so NOW I see those situations as not a time to call my prayer partners in to pray for relief from this irritant, but rather a call to prayer that I faithfully endure as the MUCH needed PRUNING takes place for more and better fruit bearing.
"PRAISE GOD, FROM WHOM ALL BLESSINGS FLOW"

"A group of atheists in Italy have sued to ban baptisms = FAKE

"The UAAR association never proposed “such lawsuit” demanding Christian baptisms of children be banned. This is an enormous nonsense for an association how promotes freedom and individual rights.
Only the legal effects of Catholic-Christian baptisms have been under discussion: the fact that a foreign country, the Holy See, states that Catholic baptised people are “sudditi e sottomessi” (”subject and subdued”) to it.
This medieval pretence is reflected in the Italian legislature through the pacts made by Vatican with fascist govern in 1930s (later only slightly modified in 1980s) and through the presence of Vatican politic sycophants such as Mr. Gianfranco Amato.
Be aware, yes. And - perhaps - is better to visit the UAAR site

I too felt the sting of bitterness when my Pastor was "too busy" to visit me in the hospital. I've often noticed that the same "pastors" who are too busy to visit the hospital, expect a seat of honor at the funeral.

Give me my roses while I can still smell them...!

When the under shepherd of a church is "too busy" to tend EVERY sheep...he should step aside, and give the flock to someone who will see to them...properly.

What if Christ actually responded to a need by saying..."I'm too busy". Shame on those who have grown "too large" for the flock...

I believe that pastor's should spend time with their people. I know of a family who was faithful for many years, the wife was in a car wreck and in the hospital for 6 months with several broken bones including her neck. Their pastor visited the hospital one time in those troublesome months. Now she's home and doing much better, but the better she got the more bitter they became. Both the husband and the wife are out of church and their hearts are broken, because of the way their pastor treated them in one of the most devastating times in their life.
Every pastor should read your article! I don't agree with the deacons part, for many churches have been destroyed by prideful deacons. But overall a great message to the men of God that stand in our pulpits today!!

Brother Ron, I appreciate all that you are doing. I looked up your profile and the mission over the internet.

I was on of those people that got help at a mission, but with me it was through a discipleship program in Chattanooga at the Union Gospel Mission. Today that discipleship is still in the works and I am a Junior at Tennessee Temple University earning my BA/CIS.marketing degree.

Last week when I was mowing the lawn I found a bag of cocaine next to a street, I immediately ripped the bag inside out dumping the contents on the ground, then went over that area with the mower.

Just afterward, I felt the most peaceful time of rejoicing in my soul realizing that Christ has led me to defeat Satan's trial during a time I was not feeling well. I have been drug free since August 2004!

Keep up the good work, and may the Lord keep you by his grace.

I have been reading some of your musings of day to day life and hope to read more. I sat down this morning as many other mornings searching for the all elusive purpose in life. Emptiness plagues me with earnest every day of my life. Loneliness is a constant companion. We are all blessed but maybe we rarely see it. You saw it in the old man at the hospital. God slips us a morsel now and then that we can see and feel and at other times we sense nothing. But all the while I'm sure God is feeding us the manna. My heart was and is broken today as it is most days. Blessings have literally overtaken me in life yet I search for purpose. I work at it and come up short. I seek it out and find it elusive. The young man you wrote about who was saved and died a week later, what marvelous ways God does work. He knew the mans days were short yet The Holy Spirit directed him to the little church. God does love us but I feel so little of that love. Tears burn my cheeks all the while emptiness stings my heart. I have come to a place that i know that i know that i'm nothing without Him. I literally can't even walk without Him holding my hand. But purpose eludes me. Alan King

As long as there are people who would rather submit to themselves rather than the Bible, Satan will be standing there to cause doubt. We made a couple of tracts called Pocket doctrines that help make the issue easier to discuss. We have a couple, What's In Your Bible that lists the main verses that are omitted and Bible lineage that discusses the two different lines of manuscripts and the books missing from the Sinaiticus and Vaticanus. You can see them on www.PocketDoctrines.com. We will have our NIV problems within a week. We also have a NKJV problems card as well.

Wonderful article. I have a sermon that I preach on this subject. You should see the funny looks I have at the beginning. I think this is only the second time that I have heard someone speak along the same lines of this great Bible truth. Thanks for your study and God Bless.

Thank you so much for your words. A year ago God brought us to this little town in the hill country of Texas. My husband is a health care provider and his services are desprately needed here. Things where great in the beginning but just as we sold our other health care facility and went full time here the business slowed to a crawl.

Each day we get up and say today is the day the Lord has made we will rejoice and be glad. But lately it has become harder and harder to say those words. The money from our sale is quickly dwindling, we are so very tired.

Your article has helped me take another deep breath and plunge back in. I will print it out for my husband when he gets home.
God Bless you
